What should be the perfect snack? Of course, light, nutritious and healthy, and, of course, delicious. All of these characteristics are great for smoothies.
What is a smoothie?
The word "smoothie" comes from the English "smooth", which means "smooth, soft, homogeneous" and conveys the essence of the drink. So, a smoothie is a fairly thick mixture of berries, fruits or vegetables, sometimes with the addition of juice, dairy products, or ice cubes. Smoothies are prepared using a blender or mixer: all products are whipped until smooth. Drink the smoothie immediately after preparation.
Smoothies and weight loss
The drink is widely used in various weight loss methods - even fasting days for smoothies are held. An important condition is that the diet smoothie should not contain sugar and honey. However, a smoothie without sweetener is still delicious. Another nuance - fruit smoothies should not be drunk for dessert, use the drink as an independent snack. This is due to the fact that eating fruits immediately after eating other food can lead to fermentation and a feeling of heaviness in the stomach, since fruits are not digested there - they need access to the intestines. In general, follow a simple rule - drink smoothies a couple of hours after your main meal.
