Cauliflower, brought to Russia by Catherine II, has long become one of the favorite vegetables for many. Unfortunately, housewives do not use it so often, but in vain. In addition to the fact that it contains many useful components, it is also very tasty in dishes.
Cauliflower casserole
Cauliflower is often included in diet recipes. It is good to cook it for dinner, when you should not overload the stomach. This dish is just that. It is prepared quite simply.
The following ingredients are required:
- 400 g cauliflower
- 300g sour cream (thick yogurt)
- 1-2 eggs
- 100-150 g of hard cheese
- 15 g butter
- nutmeg to taste
- pepper - to taste
- salt to taste
- You can take any cauliflower for this dish. If there is no fresh cabbage, then you can take frozen cabbage, but it is not necessary to defrost it. Take sour cream of any fat content, and in its absence, replace this product with thick yogurt.
- The cauliflower, as is customary, must be divided into inflorescences. Boil. For cooking, 3 minutes is enough (after boiling). You shouldn't digest it. Throw the finished cauliflower in a colander and rinse with cold water.
- Drive the eggs into a bowl. Add pepper, grated nutmeg (optional), salt. Beat everything well. Spices can be put to your taste and discretion. Add sour cream to the mixture and mix well.
- Grate the cheese and send to the egg mixture.
- Grease the mold with oil. Lay the cabbage in an even layer into the mold. Pour the vegetable into the mixture obtained by mixing sour cream and cheese. Place in the oven and bake for 20-30 minutes. Navigate by your oven and the form in which the casserole is prepared.
The dish can be served on its own or with a side dish of your choice. It does not hurt the sauce that you like best.
Cauliflower with tomatoes and cheese
The perfect combination of tomato and cheese makes the cauliflower even tastier and more flavorful. This wonderful dish is a great option for both breakfast and dinner.
For the dish you will need to prepare:
- 400 g cauliflower
- 2 tomatoes
- 3 eggs
- 3 tbsp. l. sour cream
- 150 g or according to the taste of cheese
- 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
- spices to taste
- salt to taste
- If the cabbage is bought on the market or plucked from the garden, then it should be washed well. Divide into inflorescences of the same size and boil a little (literally a couple of minutes) or blanch in hot water with the addition of salt. If the cabbage is from the freezer, then you can do nothing with it. It is ready to bake.
- In a separate bowl, combine the baking ingredients: sour cream, eggs, salt, spices. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
- Wash the tomatoes and cut into small pieces. If desired, the skin can be removed from them.
- Prepare a baking dish. Lubricate it with oil. Lay the cauliflower in a layer on the bottom of the mold and pour over the egg mixture. Lay chopped tomatoes on top in a layer and sprinkle with grated cheese.
- Heat the oven to a temperature of 180C. Place the cauliflower dish into it. Bake for 20-30 minutes.
