Brownie is a famous American dessert with a rich chocolate flavor. And if you add cream cheese to it and give it a noble red hue, you get a very delicate, fabulously beautiful cake. There is absolutely nothing complicated in making such a "Red Velvet" brownie, but it can easily become your signature homemade treat.

Ingredients

- premium flour - 3/4 cup;

- chicken eggs - 3 pcs.;

- cocoa powder - 1 tbsp. l.;

- granulated sugar - 150 g (you can take powdered sugar);

- butter with a fat content of 82.5% - 110 g;

- cream cheese (for example, "Philadelphia") - 130 g;

- baking powder - 1 tsp;

- red gel food coloring - 1 tbsp. l.;

- vanillin - on the tip of a knife (optional);

- a baking dish with an area of 20 sq. m.;

- parchment paper.

Red Velvet Brownie Cake Recipe

Take two eggs and break them into a deep bowl. Then beat them lightly with a whisk until a light, homogeneous mass is formed.

Melt the butter in the microwave or water bath. While it is cooling, use a kitchen scale to scoop 115 g of sugar out of the total and add to the melted butter. Beat sugar and butter until completely dissolved. And then add this mass to the beaten eggs. Use a whisk to mix everything together.

In the meantime, sift the flour through a sieve, and then add the remaining bulk ingredients to it - baking powder, cocoa powder and vanillin. Mix everything together well with a spoon. After that, add the resulting mixture to the egg-oil mass and stir quickly to make the dough smooth. Finally, add food coloring, after which the dough should take on a noble reddish tint.

How to make cheese filling for dessert

When all work with the dough is finished, turn on the oven and set the temperature to 180 degrees. While it is warming up, we will prepare the cheese filling (cream) for our dessert. Take the remaining egg and separate the white from the yolk. The protein is no longer needed, but add the remaining sugar to the yolk and beat. Then add the cream cheese and whisk again until smooth.

Line a baking dish with parchment paper and grease it with any oil. Next, transfer the dough, leaving some for decoration (about 1/3 cup). Spread the cheese filling evenly on top, and place the dough that has been set aside on top of it. Use a match or toothpick to pattern the filling. If you make chaotic stains, but the top of the workpiece will acquire a marble pattern.

Baking in the oven

Send the cake pan to the oven and bake for half an hour. When the Red Velvet brownie is ready, remove it from the oven, cool, and then remove from the mold, transfer to a platter, cut into portions and serve.
