Potato pancakes are the most recognizable dish of Belarusian cuisine. Of course, similar recipes are found in other countries of the world. In Ukraine, these are potato pancakes, in the Czech Republic - brambraki, in Russia - terunians, and in America this dish is called hashbrown. The classic pancake recipe includes a pinch of salt and potatoes. We will consider the option with cheese.
It is necessary
- onion - 1 pc;
- potatoes - 8 pcs;
- garlic - 2 cloves;
- cheese - 100 g;
- egg - 2 pcs;
- vegetable oil - 50 g;
- flour - 3 tablespoons;
- black pepper and salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the potatoes and wash well. Dry in any way you can. Next, grate using a coarse grater.
Step 2
Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Chop or grate the onion finely, add eggs, salt, pepper and press the garlic.
Step 3
Mix the resulting mass thoroughly. Add flour only as needed, make sure that there is no liquid. Stir everything one more time.
Step 4
Preheat a frying pan, add oil. Spoon out some of the prepared potato mass. Reduce heat to medium and fry until golden brown. Then turn the pancakes over and after a minute, cover the pan with a lid. Fry the other side until golden brown.
