The crown of Thai cuisine and the best, according to chefs from all over the world, Asian soup - Tom Yam is prepared very simply and quickly. To prepare it in Russia, you only need a special paste, which is sold in large hypermarkets, and a regular budget set of products.
There are a lot of Tom Yam recipes in Thailand and they depend on the province from which the cook comes. Tom Yam Kung (that is, Tom Yam with shrimps) can be either sour, soft, flavored with coconut milk, or uncontrollably spicy, so that only people in love with Thai cuisine can eat it. Nevertheless, there is a certain recipe for making this soup, which is universal.
To prepare 2 servings of soup, you need 200-250 g of chicken fillet, 400 ml of water, 1 packet of Tom Yama pasta (available in large hypermarkets, as well as in Asian food stores), 1 ginger root, 6-7 cherry tomatoes, 1 small onions, 2-3 cloves of garlic, 2-3 branches of lemongrass (lemon sorghum), 300 g of peeled fresh or frozen shrimp and 150 g of small mushrooms or shiitake. In addition, you will need regular boiled rice as a side dish to remove the spiciness. All vegetables must be cut into large pieces.
It is necessary to cook broth from chicken (you do not need to salt in the process). After the chicken has cooked, remove it from the broth, and add 1 packet of pasta and all the other ingredients there, and salt if necessary. Cook over medium heat for about 7 minutes (until mushrooms are ready). Next, you need to remove the soup from the heat and pour it into high plates.
Tom Yam should be consumed in this way: drink broth and eat shrimp and mushrooms, but if you wish, you can eat all the other ingredients.
