I bring to your attention a simple recipe for a low-calorie Olivier salad. You can enjoy the taste of your favorite dish without gaining extra pounds and without fear for your figure.
Almost no holiday can be imagined without this dish, but it's no secret that most often we all love to prepare such a salad for the New Year. As you may have guessed, we will talk about Olivier. It is also known under the names "Winter" and "Meat", and in other countries - as "Russian" or "Gusarsky".
But few know that this is a real high-calorie very harmful bomb. How can you make sure that the taste sensations remain the same, but at the same time the Olivier would become as useful as possible, and most importantly, contain a minimum of calories?
There is one little secret that we will reveal in this article. You just need to replace some of the ingredients from the classic recipe. This salad has half the calories than a regular Olivier.
- We replace the sausage with boiled chicken breast.
- Replace pickles with capers.
- Instead of mayonnaise, we use white yogurt without preservatives.
You will need:
- Boiled chicken breast - 200 g
- Potatoes - 5 pcs.
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Chicken eggs - 6 pcs.
- Shrimps - 200-300 g
- Bulb onions - 1 pc.
- Fresh cucumbers - 2-3 pcs.
- Capers -200 g
- Canned green peas from brain varieties - 300-400 g.
- Greens to taste.
- Salt to taste.
- Pepper to taste.
- White yogurt (for dressing) - 250-300 g.
- Mayonnaise - 10-15 g. (One tablespoon)
Preparation:
- Bring carrots and potatoes to a boil, peel and cut into cubes.
- Boil the shrimps and peel.
- Boil the eggs, peel and also cut into cubes.
- Cut the cucumbers into cubes.
- Boil the chicken breast and cut into medium pieces.
- Open canned green peas and capers and drain.
- Cut the onion into rings.
- Combine all ingredients together.
- Season with white yogurt without preservatives, to which you can add one spoonful of mayonnaise for flavor.
- Add salt and pepper.
- Stir all ingredients.
- Decorate with herbs.
