It is necessary

    • 1 liter of milk
    • 0.3-0.5 water
    • 0, 5-1 tbsp. semolina
    • butter - 2-3 tbsp. spoons
    • salt
    • sugar - to taste
    • vanillin
    • fruits
    • nuts
    • jam - optional

Instructions

Step 1

Combine milk with water and put on low heat. You can add salt right away so that it doesn't run away. Bring to a boil and reduce the temperature immediately.

Step 2

While stirring the milk in one direction, slowly pour the semolina in a thin stream. The amount of cereal depends on what kind of porridge you like - liquid or thick. Keep in mind that the porridge will become thicker every minute. It is better to add a spoonful or two of cereal later than to get something that resembles a casserole.

Step 3

Without increasing the heat, bring the porridge until thick. Keep stirring to avoid clumping. Optionally - add pre-soaked raisins or dried apricots.

Step 4

After 7-10 minutes add salt, sugar and vanillin. Remove the porridge from the stove, the milk semolina is ready! You can add butter and sugar to the saucepan, or you can add it directly to the plate.

Step 5

If you want to make sweet semolina with fruits and / or nuts, there are several options. You can add pre-soaked and chopped dried fruits to milk immediately along with cereals or later - along with butter. Rinse the nuts with boiling water and chop, add towards the end of cooking. Put fresh fruits and berries in ready-made and slightly cooled porridge - separately in each plate.

Step 6

If you are adding fresh berries to the plate, garnish the finished dish with a leaf of fresh mint or lemon balm, if desired.

Step 7

Some people especially like cold semolina. In a plate with such porridge, you can add cookies (whole or in pieces), nuts, a scoop of ice cream, chocolate (a wedge or shavings). The taste of semolina is combined with very different products, experiment!

Step 8

If you are preparing semolina for a child, place it slightly cooled down in a flat plate. Draw a smile with jam, and lay out eyes, nose, hair from dried fruits and nuts. Even more options when you have fresh fruit on hand.
