Pies come with different fillings, but in Russia the recipe for pie with cabbage is very popular. Why? Yes, because cabbage has been in Russia for a very long time, besides, the pie turns out to be very satisfying, and the cost is very cheap.
It is necessary
- - 500 g cabbage
- - 1 tbsp. sour cream
- - 200 g flour
- - 175 g mayonnaise
- - 2 eggs
- - 1 medium carrot
- - parsley
- - 3 tbsp. l. tomato paste or tomato
- - 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
- - 1 tsp soda
- - salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the carrots, cut off the top, rinse them well, and remove the top leaves from the cabbage.
Step 2
Grate the carrots on a fine grater, and chop the cabbage or pass through a food processor.
Step 3
Pour vegetable oil into the pan, heat it well and put the vegetables in it. Simmer everything under the lid for 10-15 minutes, then add the tomato, parsley, salt and pepper, mix everything and continue to simmer for another 10 minutes, until tender. Add water to the pan as needed. After stewing, the filling should be cooled.
Step 4
Beat the eggs with a whisk until they whiten and increase in volume, and then pour in mayonnaise, sour cream, beat well again. Sift the flour, combine it with baking soda and pour into the whipped mixture, knead enough batter, leave it alone for 7 minutes, and then divide it into 2 parts.
Step 5
Put the oven to preheat 180-190 degrees. Grease a mold, pour one part of the dough into it, lay out the filling, and pour the other part of the dough on top. Place the cabbage pie in the hot oven for 45 minutes.
Step 6
Cut the finished yeast-free cabbage pie into pieces, put on plates and serve.
