Butter is a delicious and nutritious food product, which, unfortunately, has recently been increasingly falsified as the most popular and purchased in Russia. The composition and norm of certain ingredients in butter is determined in accordance with the Federal Law No. 88-FZ adopted in our country.

Product quality criteria

According to the law passed on June 12, 2008 entitled “Technical Regulations for Milk and Dairy Products”, butter is defined as a product made from cow's milk. Mass fraction of fat in it should be 50-85%.

In quality oil, the inclusion of non-dairy fats is also not allowed.

Unfortunately, the cost of butter is not always a guarantee of its quality and compliance with the above-described rules of the Federal Law.

In Russian stores, you can buy a real product for 90 rubles, but it is quite easy to "stumble upon" a falsified one at a price of 150 rubles or more.

Butter brands

On modern TV channels and on the Internet, there are a lot of various studies that identify high-quality and low-quality products on the shelves of Russian supermarkets. One of them, recognized as the most authoritative, was carried out last year by specialists from the St. Petersburg public organization of consumers "Public Control".

According to the results of laboratory tests, experts attributed the following good brands of butter to unconditionally corresponding standards:

"Farmerskoe" from LLC "Mitra" with a fat content of 82.5%. The cost of this product is quite acceptable - only 50-60 rubles per package weighing 180 grams.

Butter "Sudarynya" from JSC "Gatchinsky Dairy Plant" with a fat content of 82.5%. Its price is about 100 rubles for a weight of 200 grams.

Sweet butter with the same fat content from Rosexpoprom CJSC and a price of 90-95 rubles per package of a product weighing 180 grams.

Oil "Kalevala" from the manufacturer LLC TF "Polyus" with 82.5% fat. Its cost is 80-90 rubles per 200 grams.

Product from LLC "First Petersburg Dairy Plant" - 80-90 rubles per 180 grams with a fat content of 82.5%.

As you can see, the cost of these products does not exceed 100 rubles for 180-200 grams.

According to the research results, deviations from the norm were found in:

Ostankinskoye Podvorie oil from Vivat + LLC. The reason is that the proportion of fat content is lower than the manufacturer stated on the package, the increased moisture content of the product, the presence of non-dairy fats.

Product under the TM "Vologda Zori", LLC "Dyadkovo-milk": pasteurization taste, powdery consistency, mass fraction of fat content is lower than stated, absence of milk fat.

"Krestyanskoye" butter from Tver LLC "Rick" with a heterogeneous consistency and a mass fraction of milk fat less than 15%.

Oils "Babushkiny products" (LLC "Ivmolokoprodukt") were also classified as unapproved oils; product from Dedovichi Dairy Plant; oil "Volotovskoe", LLC "Production plant" Volotovsky "; oil from LLC "Hermes"; a product from the Public Association "Tavern" Altai "; butter "Russian Traditions", LLC "Version" and "Derevenskoe Podvorie" from CJSC "Ozeretsky Dairy Plant".
