Chicken in the oven with potatoes is a delicious, tender, aromatic and satisfying dish. It is quite simple and quick to prepare, and the availability of ingredients makes it desirable on any table.

Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the chicken legs with water and pat dry with kitchen paper towels. Prepare the chicken mixture: Combine olive oil, ground red and black pepper, coriander, minced 4 cloves of garlic and salt. Rub the legs with this mixture and leave them for 20-30 minutes.
Step 2
Peel the potatoes and cut them into large slices. Cut large tubers into 4 parts, medium-sized tubers into 2 parts, leave small tubers whole. Combine 2 cloves of garlic, salt, black pepper and chopped herbs (dill, parsley or cilantro) with mayonnaise. Put the chopped potatoes in a deep cup and add the resulting mayonnaise mixture there, stir everything carefully so that the sauce evenly covers the surface of each potato slice.
Step 3
Oven baked chicken and potatoes are best prepared in a special baking dish. It is good if the form has a lid. If there is no lid, you can cover it with a sheet of foil. If you don't have a baking dish, you can use a deep frying pan without handles.
Step 4
Brush a tin with a little olive oil and place the chicken and potatoes in it. Cover the dish with a lid or a sheet of foil and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Chicken in the oven with potatoes is cooked for about an hour.
Step 5
15 minutes before cooking, remove the lid (foil) from the mold and put the mold back in the oven. Wait for the chicken and potatoes to acquire a delicious golden color.

When the chicken and potatoes are cooked, remove the dish from the oven and cool it down a little. So that a lot of fat melted from the chicken does not get on the plates during the cooking process, remove the legs and potatoes from the mold with a special slotted spatula.
