  • - beef pulp - 400 g;

  • - small carrots - 3 pcs.;
  • - white cabbage - about 200 g;
  • - mayonnaise;
  • - salt;
  • - ground black pepper;
  • - vegetable oil for frying - about 0.5 liters.

Step 1

First of all, we will deal with potatoes for the French salad. Peel it, rinse and cut into very thin strips. Alternatively, you can grate the potatoes on a Korean carrot grater or on a regular fine grater.

Now the potatoes will need to be fried. Take a deep, thick-walled skillet and pour enough vegetable oil into it. It will take so much that the potatoes literally float in it. Heat the oil, toss in the straws and fry until crisp. This can be done in two steps. Remove the cooked fried potatoes from the pan with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain off excess oil. Salt a little. Clarification: If you want to save time, you can take pre-fried potato strips in a pack from the store if you find an unflavored product (cheese, crab, etc.).

The meat must be cut into oblong narrow plates. To make this much easier, place the beef in the freezer for 20-30 minutes before cooking. Or vice versa: if your meat is frozen, it needs to be slightly thawed until it can be sliced. But at the same time, it must remain firm.

Step 4

Pour 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it up. Place the sliced meat and fry on all sides at maximum temperature until browned. Then add some water, about 1/4 cup, black pepper and salt to taste into the pan. Cover, reduce temperature to low and simmer for 2 hours.

Peel the beets and carrots and grate them on a fine grater. Can also be cut with a knife. The thinner the straws, the tastier the salad will be. Including, if you do not like raw beets, before that you can boil them until half cooked. The main thing is that it remains firm. Remove the first two layers of leaves from the cabbage and chop as thin as possible.

Step 6

Now the salad needs to be shaped. Put all the ingredients - fried meat, potatoes, beets, carrots and cabbage in a salad bowl, add salt to taste, season with mayonnaise and mix everything. Ready-made salad should be appetizing and crunchy. And due to the fact that almost all vegetables have not been heat-treated, there are many useful vitamins and nutritional properties left in it.
