New Year's holidays are approaching. Many housewives are already beginning to think about how they will treat their relatives and friends. As an appetizer on the festive table, pickled cabbage with beets will certainly come in handy. And after the feast, her rich tart brine will help you quickly bounce back. Preparing such a snack will not be difficult even for novice housewives.
It is necessary
- - cabbage forks - 1, 5 - 2 kg;
- - medium-sized beets - 3 pcs.;
- - medium-sized carrots - 3 pcs.;
- - garlic - 6 cloves;
- - cauliflower - several small inflorescences (optional);
- - fresh cilantro - 1 bunch;
- - dill - 1 bunch;
- - celery - 1 bunch;
- - vinegar essence 40% - 1 tbsp. l.;
- - sugar - 2 tbsp. l.;
- - salt - 4 tbsp. l.;
- - Bay leaf;
- - black peppercorns;
- - three-liter glass jar.
Instructions
Step 1
Remove the first two layers from the cabbage. Peel the beets and carrots. Peel the garlic off. Divide the cabbage fork into 4 longitudinal parts, and divide each part three times across. There are 12 parts in total. Cut the beets and garlic into thin slices. Also cut the carrots into thin slices lengthwise. Alternatively, beets and carrots can be chopped into large, thin strips. Optionally, if you have cauliflower, divide it into small florets.
Step 2
We begin to put all the vegetables in a three-liter jar in layers in the following sequence: cilantro, dill, celery leaves down, several garlic plates, bay leaf, black peppercorns, cauliflower, a little bit of beets, carrots, cabbage. And so alternately to the top of the can.
Step 3
Once you fill the entire jar, top with salt, sugar and vinegar. Fill the contents of the jar with hot water to the brim. Leave the jar to sit for a while. After a while, the water will settle. Add more water to the top and close the lid. After everything has cooled down well, put the jar in the refrigerator. In three days, pickled cabbage with beets will be ready!
