Poland is a close neighbor of Russia, which means that the cuisines of these countries are quite similar. Polish cuisine is especially famous for its preparation of fish and various sauces in addition to it. We will look at a recipe for cooking cod in Polish. The whole process will take no more than half an hour.
It is necessary
- - spices and salt to taste;
- - greens (parsley, dill, green onions) - to taste;
- - boiled eggs - 2 pcs;
- - black peppercorns - 5 pcs;
- - bay leaf - 2 pcs;
- - butter - 25 g;
- - carrots - 80 g;
- - onions - 100 g;
- - cod fillet - 500 g.
Instructions
Step 1
If your fish is not fillet, but whole fish, it must be cut up. Cut off the tail, head, fins with a knife. Peel off the scales, gut and get rid of entrails and bones. Rinse the meat in water and cut into pieces.
Step 2
After you finish preparing the fish, go in for the vegetables. Peel the onion, cut off the back, scrape off the dirt from the carrots with a knife. Rinse in water and cut vegetables into pieces.
Step 3
Put peeled carrots and onions in a saucepan, cover them with cold water. Add peppercorns, salt and bay leaf. Let the water boil.
Step 4
Dip the peeled cod fillet into the already boiling broth. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Make sure that the broth does not boil too much, adjust the heat.
Step 5
Peel the boiled eggs and chop them with a sharp knife. Chop the herbs finely. Remove the cod from the pot after 10 minutes. Cool, remove all bones, cut the meat into pieces.
Step 6
Melt the butter in a small saucepan, add a couple of tablespoons of broth and eggs to it. Mix everything well with two forks or a whisk.
Step 7
Place the fish on a plate; you can add mashed potatoes or lightly undercooked rice to it. Pour the prepared sauce over the dish, sprinkle with herbs and serve with bread.
