Snacks are a must on the festive table. If you want to serve salted herring to your guests, it is better to arrange it in an unusual and interesting way. Otherwise, the dish will look ordinary. Stuffed herring is a great snack. It turns out delicious, tender and, of course, will decorate your festive table.

It is necessary

  • - large salted herring
  • - small carrots
  • - egg
  • - 40 g processed cheese
  • - 20 g butter
  • - 20 g of olive oil

Instructions

Step 1

Peel the herring of entrails and bones. You should have two fillets. Leave the ponytail for decoration if desired.

Step 2

Cut off the herring flesh from each fillet so that the latter is about 5 mm thick.

Step 3

Cut the flesh of the fish into pieces. After boiling the carrots and eggs, cut them into small cubes.

Step 4

Combine the herring pulp, carrot, egg in a separate bowl. Season with melted butter. Add coarsely grated processed cheese. Mix everything, the filling is ready.

Step 5

Spread the cling film, brush it with olive oil. Put a strip of fillet on it. Spread the filling on top.

Step 6

Cover the filling with a second strip of herring, wrapping the edges. Wrap tightly in plastic. Refrigerate for half an hour.

Step 7

Remove the film, cut the stuffed herring into slices. Decorate as desired.
