It is necessary

    • 1kg plums;
    • 1, 2 kg of granulated sugar.

Instructions

Step 1

The yellow varieties of plums include "Morning", "Alyonushka", "Naydena", "Egg", "Vetraz" and others. If such a tree grows in your country house, consider yourself lucky! Of course, otherwise, plums for making jam can be purchased at any supermarket.

Step 2

So, first of all, rinse the fruits thoroughly under running water and let them dry. Cut the plums in half and remove the pit.

Step 3

Take a large enough bowl for making jam and place the prepared halves on it. Cover the plum with an even layer of sugar and let it brew for 25-35 minutes. Then put the basin on a low heat, not forgetting to stir the sugar-plum mass.

Step 4

While the mixture is warming up, prepare the cans for preservation. One-liter jars must be thoroughly rinsed and sterilized on a stovetop. Take a large saucepan, pour water into it and put it on fire. Cover the pot with a metal sieve or wire rack so that the jars don't fall through. Wait for the water to boil and steam sterilize the jars for about 15 minutes. Do the same with the covers.

Step 5

Meanwhile, the sugar and plum mixture will begin to boil. Let the jam simmer for about 10 minutes, then turn off the gas. Wait until the jam has cooled to room temperature, then re-ignite the gas and bring the contents to a boil. Let the jam simmer for 10 minutes, cool to room temperature and return to the stove. As soon as the contents of the basin boil for the third time, spread the jam over the prepared jars. Roll the cans tightly so that there is no air in them.
