Candy cakes: original recipes for self-realization

A simple, elegant and very tasty cake can be made using cardboard boxes made of sweets, souvenirs, and other trifles. Outside, they are wrapped in corrugated paper, foil or cloth, and then decorated with sweets. It is convenient to use candy in the form of sticks, sticking them tightly. Traditional rectangular candy wrapped in paper wrappers or small thin chocolates are also suitable. Round, cone-shaped and spherical candies are used to decorate horizontal surfaces. If the candy wrappers are not fancy enough, or the color does not match, you can wrap them in pieces of foil. The same is done with assorted candies taken from purchased sets.

It is better to decorate homemade gift cakes with sweets in beautiful, but not too colorful candy wrappers. A classic composition should look harmonious, preferably 2-3 basic shades. Artificial flowers, small toys, ribbons will become additional decor. You can make the top of the cake removable and put small surprises there: Easter eggs with toys, homemade cookies. It is important to pack everything so that the decorative elements do not crumble or come loose. Proceeding step by step, you can create a simple and elegant composition in just an hour. A properly designed cake looks very impressive in photos and videos.

Three-tiered cake: step by step instructions for making

It is worth starting with simple crafts, gradually moving on to more complex ones. For a children's birthday, you can make a small lightweight cake of three tiers, decorated with several types of candies, ribbons and artificial flowers. For work you will need:

  • candies of various shapes (rectangular, cone-shaped, spherical);
  • a piece of foam;
  • 2 round cardboard boxes of different sizes (for example, for cookies and sweets);
  • corrugated paper;
  • fabric with a beautiful pattern;
  • artificial flowers made of paper or fabric;
  • beads;
  • glue gun;
  • double sided tape;
  • scissors;
  • stationery knife;
  • fine-grained sandpaper.

Cut a circle out of polystyrene that is larger than the prepared boxes. An important condition is that the workpiece must be carefully processed with fine-grained emery paper to perfect smoothness. Wrap the foam with corrugated paper and secure with glue. A little trick - the edges of the paper should protrude slightly above the top edge. Pull them slightly with your fingers to form a pleated frill.

Wrap the cookie and candy boxes tightly with a cloth and secure with glue. If no suitable material is found, corrugated paper can be used. Decorate the sides of the lower tier with elongated sweets, attaching them to double-sided tape. Cut a wide tape out of corrugated paper and glue it along the edge of the middle tier (cookie boxes). Attach spherical candies on top of the tape. It is better to lay them close to each other, forming a beautiful chain.

The side of the upper tier (a box of chocolates, for example, "Rafaello") should be tightly pasted over with thin long rectangular chocolates. It is better to choose pastries in beautiful wrappers made of golden, silver or colored foil.

Assemble the cake by stacking the tiers on top of each other. Gently fix each with a few drops of glue. Decorate the top of each tier with artificial flowers. It is important to choose shades in the same range, for example, red-gold or white-blue.

Heart cake: surprise for lovers

For Valentine's Day, engagement or birthday of a loved one, you can present an interesting and unusual gift - a cake made of sweets in the shape of a heart. It is difficult to find ready-made boxes of this shape, so the base will have to be made with your own hands. It is better to keep the gift in the classic red or pink tones, complementing it with white and silver accents.

To create a cake you will need:

  • round or spherical candies in foil wrappers;
  • toothpicks;
  • pieces of foam;
  • pink or red corrugated paper;
  • packaging film for bouquets to match;
  • artificial white rose;
  • stationery knife;
  • hot glue;
  • double tape;
  • beads and ribbons.

Cut the heart-shaped base from the foam using a clerical knife. To make the figure even, outline the contours with a pencil. Sand the edges with fine-grained emery paper. Wrap the base with a decorative cloth, securing with drops of glue. A quicker option is to cover the foam with corrugated paper. Tuck the edges inward, mask the junction with a heart cut from paper of the same color. Decorate the sides of the base with small bows or beads. The gold mesh stretched over the paper covering also looks very nice.

Cut the film for bouquets into thin strips, roll up in the form of a flower bud, pressing tightly with your fingers at the bottom. Attach the bud to the end of a toothpick and secure with glue. Make at least 20 flowers, the exact number depends on the size of the cake.

Inject toothpicks along the contour of the base so that the buds are close to each other. Fluff the corollas slightly. Flowers are attached in 2 or 3 rows, they form a spectacular fluffy border.

Fill the center of the heart with sweets, attaching them to small pieces of double-sided tape. After placing all the candies, decorate the composition with a large white rose, gluing it on the side right on top of the candies. If desired, the gift can be wrapped in cellophane and provided with a greeting card.
