The Fish Tails snack does not consist of fish tails at all, but there is a fish component in it. The combination of sardines with rice and waffle cones and other ingredients gives this dish a wonderful taste.

It is necessary

  • - 11 waffle cones;
  • - 1 onion;
  • - 1 medium-sized carrot (about 80 grams);
  • - 150 grams of sardines, converted in oil;
  • - 35 grams of rice;
  • - 100-110 grams of mayonnaise;
  • - 1 chicken egg;
  • - 35 ml. vegetable oil;
  • - salt to taste (you can also pepper and other spices, if you like).

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the rice and boil it. When cooking, close the lid of the pan, keep the heat low. You need to stop cooking only when the water has completely boiled away (in this case, the rice will turn out to be the best consistency for "Fish Tails").

Step 2

While the rice is cooking, rinse and peel the carrots, grind them on a coarse grater (if you use a fine grater, chewing the finished snack will not be very pleasant). Chop the peeled onion finely. Fry the onion in a pan filled with sunflower oil until it becomes transparent. Stir it occasionally to avoid crusting. Then add the carrots to the onion and fry for another minute and a half over high heat, again stirring constantly. After turning off, leave to simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Take all the canned sardines, place them on a plate and remember with a spoon. If there is a lot of oil in the can of canned food, do not pour it out completely. Put onions and carrots here from the pan, add mayonnaise and mix well. You should get a homogeneous mass.

Step 4

Now carefully fill each waffle cone with the resulting gruel. Fill so that there are no voids, so that the contents are packed tightly. At the same time, do not press too hard so that the cones retain their shape and do not crack (to give more flexibility, you can slightly moisten the top of the cone with water). Leave the resulting dish for 15-20 minutes.

Step 5

Take another plate, pour and beat the egg in it. Then each cone is dipped in egg "syrup" and blotted. When they become wet and bend easily, you will need to flatten them (it is advisable for this purpose, just in case, to leave 1 more empty cone in which you can put the bag if it squeezes out too much).

Step 6

Put the cones (now they are no longer cones, but real "fish tails") in a pan moistened with oil, fry them for 1.5-2 minutes on both sides. Set the fire to medium. The Fish Tails appetizer is ready!
