Pork tongue belongs to the first category of meat offal. Therefore, it is distinguished by a delicate and rich taste. The main thing is to properly prepare the pork tongue. How long and how to cook this delicacy?
Pork tongue has an increased nutritional value. This is due to the presence of a large amount of nutrients in its composition. In the pork tongue, vitamins of group B, E, PP, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and other microelements are fully represented. It is an excellent supplier of protein to the human body. Of course, there are many disputes about the benefits and dangers of pork tongue, but it is certainly useful even for children and at the same time has a low calorie content (200 kcal per 100 g of product).
This delicacy helps with various infectious diseases, anemia, kidney diseases, only if it is properly prepared. And this process is just very time consuming.
In order to properly prepare the pork tongue, it is pre-washed under running cold water. A medium-sized pork tongue weighs about 300-400 g. Therefore, to prepare a good dish, you will need several copies of this product.
The next step is to pour water into the pan and bring it to a boil over the fire. Then the pork tongue is dipped into it. He must be completely submerged in the water. And since the cooking time is about 1, 5-2 hours, then the liquid is poured much more than the volume of the pork tongue. If you cook pork tongue in a slow cooker, then the cooking time will be only 1–1, 5 hours on the "Stew" mode.
After boiling water, the fire is reduced. You can add herbs and various types of seasonings to the pot as desired. After the pork tongue has boiled, it is peeled from the skin. It does not allow all useful substances to flow out of this product during cooking. In this case, the pork tongue is poured over with cold water and the whitish skin is carefully removed.
After boiling pork tongue, you can prepare various dishes, in particular salads. Or you can simply cut, put on a plate and decorate with herbs.
Pork tongue is washed, boiled and cleaned. Then it is cut into cubes. The cheese is rubbed into a coarse grater. Put corn, chopped pineapples, tongue, cheese in a deep bowl and mix thoroughly. Then the salad is salted and seasoned with mayonnaise. Garnish with parsley before serving.
