Yoghurt is a delicious and healthy product, and homemade yogurt cannot be compared with what you can buy in a store. Few people know that making yogurt at home is a snap. Try to do this, then every day you can delight your family with a fresh and delicious sour milk product.
It is necessary
-
- 1 liter of milk of any fat content;
- 2 tablespoons store-bought yogurt
- better than natural.
Instructions
Step 1
Boil the milk. You can take milk of any fat content, the fatter it is, the fatter and thicker the finished yogurt will be. Only very clean dishes are suitable for making yoghurt so that unnecessary bacteria do not get into it.
Step 2
Cool the milk to a temperature of about 45 degrees. To do this, you can take it out into the cold or put a saucepan with hot milk in another, larger volume, with cold water. You can check the temperature of the milk with your little finger. If it soaks in milk for 10 seconds, the temperature is right.
Step 3
Add store-bought yogurt to the warm milk to serve as a sourdough. It should be at room temperature. Stir well. Can be whisked with a whisk.
Step 4
Cover the saucepan with a lid, wrap well. You can put the saucepan on a radiator or other heat source. Milk should cool as slowly as possible. During this time, the yogurt will thicken. It will take about eight hours, it is best to leave the yogurt overnight. All this time, it is better not to move the saucepan, do not stir the contents.
Step 5
After eight hours, the yoghurt is ready. It needs to be put in the refrigerator. It will thicken as it cools. You need to apply yogurt from a saucepan gently, with a clean spoon, without stirring.
Step 6
Prepared homemade yogurt can be stored in the refrigerator for up to four days. During this time, it will become even tastier, thicker and healthier. You can add your favorite berries or fruits, fresh or canned, to the yogurt to taste, by cutting them into small pieces. To prepare a new portion of yoghurt, you can use ready-made homemade yoghurt, but preferably no more than ten times, then add store-bought yogurt again.
