Even a child can handle the preparation of the product. The following method of fermenting a treat has proven itself well:
- Heat 2 liters of whole milk in a saucepan to 85-90 degrees Celsius. Do not bring to a boil.
- Pour the liquid into a container in which the yogurt will be prepared. Cool it to a temperature of 50-52 degrees.
- Dissolve 4 tablespoons of the starter culture in a separate bowl with a little milk.
- Pour the diluted starter culture into warm milk, stir so that there are no lumps.
- Cover the container with a film with holes punctured in it, put a towel or blanket on top to keep warm. Leave the pot for 3-5 hours.
- After 5 hours, place the container in the refrigerator for a couple of hours and can be consumed by stirring the mixture thoroughly.
Natural homemade yogurt should be eaten within a week, otherwise the product will go bad. Sour milk delicacy can be used with berries or nuts, herbs, make desserts from it and more. They can replace sour cream, mayonnaise, barbecue marinade.
