Watermelon honey is an excellent preparation for the winter to strengthen the immune system and fight viral infections. This delicacy improves eyesight, normalizes blood pressure, relieves inflammation and fever. The recipe is very simple, you only need a ripe watermelon and nothing else.
Watermelon honey is in no way inferior to bee honey in its nutritional and beneficial properties. Watermelon contains an extensive vitamin complex, beta-carotene, antioxidants. It also contains many minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, sodium, phosphorus. Like the fresh pulp of a striped berry, watermelon honey has a beneficial effect on the human cardiovascular and genitourinary systems.
Ingredients:
any amount of ripe ("sugar") watermelon pulp.
Cooking method
- Wash the striped fruit thoroughly, cut it into large slices (vertically), cut out the pulp, chop it into cubes.
- We don't take out the bones, they also have a lot of useful things - especially in the dark ones. So, they contain the substance lycopene, which protects against cancer.
- So, put the cubes of pulp with seeds in a blender and knead until the consistency of a coarse puree. We transfer it to a sieve and grind it to a smoother and more homogeneous mass. We do the procedure 2-3 times, after which we transfer the homogeneous puree to the pan.
- We put on a fire, medium or even small, boil until the mass is boiled down 5 times. In the process of cooking, be sure to remove the foam - like from jam. And also we make sure that the honey does not burn - stir with a slotted spoon.
- How to tell if watermelon honey is ready? We drip a little on a saucer and see: if the syrup does not spread, then it’s time to pour the treat into the jars.
- We sterilize containers in any convenient way. Fill it with watermelon honey and seal it with screw caps or roll it up. We store it where it is cool, but not in the refrigerator.
