Cookies with dried fruits - dried apricots, prunes, raisins, dried cherries - are very beautiful and tasty. Cookie dough can be prepared in advance and stored in the freezer. Before cooking, cut it into portions and bake - a healthy and quick dessert is ready.
You will need:
- 300 g of wheat flour;
- 1 egg;
- 150 g butter;
- 200 g of dried fruits (raisins, dried apricots, pitted prunes);
- 50 ml of milk;
- a pinch of salt.
Some dried fruits can be replaced with chopped nuts - almonds, cashews or hazelnuts.
Mix flour with salt, add grated butter. Grind the mixture to make a coarse crumb. Add egg and milk, stir the dough. Rinse dried fruits and grind in a blender. Add the fruit mixture to the dough, knead everything until smooth.
Roll the dough into a sausage and wrap in plastic wrap. Place it in the freezer for an hour. Then unfold the sausage and cut it into even circles. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and place in an oven preheated to 180 ° C. Cook the dessert for 10-15 minutes. Chill baked goods and serve with tea.
