It is necessary

  • For six servings:
  • - 1 kg of fresh currants;
  • - 2, 5 glasses of sugar;
  • - 2 tbsp. spoons of water.

Instructions

Step 1

It will take you no more than 20 minutes to prepare, and the preparation of the marmalade itself will take about 1 hour. It will be easier for someone to go to the nearest store and buy a factory delicacy, but try to make marmalade from currants yourself - you will not be sorry for the time spent. Of course, first you need to sort through and thoroughly rinse the fresh currants. Put the berries in a saucepan, add a little water, boil the berries.

Step 2

Grind the berry mixture with a blender, if necessary, pass through a sieve. You can do without a blender - immediately grind the berry mixture through a sieve. Mix berry puree with 2 cups of sugar and cook on the stove. The syrup should boil down a lot, become very thick. The process resembles cooking jam.

Step 3

It is easy to check the readiness: take a little currant syrup and drip it onto a cold plate, if the drop has not spread, then you can safely pour the mass into molds. You can use one whole container, and then simply cut the frozen marmalade into pieces.

Step 4

Put the currant marmalade in the refrigerator, it freezes pretty quickly, then roll the marmalade in sugar. Store in a container that can be sealed, otherwise the marmalade will quickly become tough.
