There is not a lot of meat in the wings of a bird, but it is very tender and appetizing, and dishes made from them are perfect both as a snack for beer and as a main hot dish. Cook chicken wings in a skillet with sauce, breading, or a delicious gravy with potatoes.
Chicken wings in sauce in a pan
Ingredients:
- 500 g of chicken wings;
- 160 ml of soy sauce;
- 50 g of honey;
- 30 ml of lemon juice;
- 1 tsp curry;
- vegetable oil.
Rinse the wings well and pat dry on a paper towel. Remove excess skin and feathers as needed. Place the poultry parts in a container. Heat the honey a little, mix it with soy sauce and lemon juice. Add curry there and mix thoroughly until smooth. Pour the mixture over the wings and stir to coat them evenly with the marinade. Tighten the container with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
Transfer the wings to a colander over a saucepan to drain the liquid. Pour vegetable oil into a skillet and heat over high heat. Place the marinated chicken pieces there and fry until golden brown on each side. Reduce the cooking temperature to a minimum, pour in the marinade and simmer the dish for another 15-20 minutes, covering the dish with a lid.
Breaded chicken wings in a pan
Ingredients:
- 650 g of chicken wings;
- 200 g unglazed corn flakes;
- 130 g flour;
- 2 chicken eggs;
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper;
- salt;
- 60 ml of water;
- 30 ml of apple cider vinegar;
- 300 ml of vegetable oil.
Cut the wings at the joints, set aside only the largest phalanges for cooking, discard the rest. Place the pieces in a bowl, add salt, pour the vinegar solution in the indicated amount of water and leave for half an hour. Place the cereal in a sturdy bag and crush, but not hard to leave large crumbs. Season them with salt and sprinkle on a flat plate. Add flour in the same way. Whisk the eggs in a cup.
Dip each wing piece in flour, then dip in an egg, dip in corn bread and place in hot oil in a high-rimmed skillet. Deep-fry everything for 4 minutes, then place on a napkin to remove excess fat.
