It is necessary

  • For chicken with vegetables:
  • - 20 g chicken breast;
  • - 15 ml of soy sauce;
  • - half a teaspoon of cornstarch;
  • - olive oil;
  • - half a small onion;
  • - 2 handfuls of cherry tomatoes (about 20 pieces);
  • - half each red and black pepper;
  • For sweet and sour sauce:
  • - a tablespoon of chopped ginger root;
  • - 30 ml of honey;
  • - 90 ml each of orange juice, classic ketchup and white vinegar;

Instructions

Step 1

Cut the chicken into small pieces about 1 by 3 cm in size. In a bowl, mix the chicken pieces with soy sauce and starch.

Step 2

In another bowl, combine all the ingredients for the sweet and sour sauce.

Step 3

Cut the onion into feathers, the cherry tomatoes into halves, and the pepper into slices about the same size as the chicken.

Step 4

Heat 15 ml of vegetable oil in a wok (or in a regular frying pan). When the oil starts to smoke a little, gently spread the chicken in one layer and fry for 2 minutes. Turn the chicken pieces over and fry for about a minute, transfer to a plate. If the chicken is not completely fried, it's okay - it will be cooked later along with the vegetables and sauce.

Step 5

We reduce the heat to medium temperature, pour 15 ml of vegetable oil into the pan, fry the onions, stirring constantly for a minute, add the tomatoes and peppers, fry for another 2-3 minutes, without ceasing to stir all the ingredients.

Step 6

We return the chicken to the pan, fill it with sweet and sour sauce, mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Bring the sauce to a boil and simmer the chicken and vegetables for literally 2-3 minutes. The finished dish goes best with rice.
