Almost every housewife has her own special recipe for making plum jam. Some cook it with gelatin, others - in combination with other berries, and still others - with nuts. We bring to your attention another recipe for plum jam - pitted.
It is necessary
- - Ripe plums - 1 kg;
- - Granulated sugar - 1 kg;
- - Water - 0.2 liters;
- - Soda - on the tip of a knife;
- - Orange zest - 20 grams;
- - Anise - 2-3 pcs. (you can not add);
- - Water for soaking.
Instructions
Step 1
Select ripe plums, rinse well under running water. Put in a cup of water, after adding soda to it and stirring well. Leave on for 2-3 minutes.
Step 2
Remove the plums, rinse well, rinsing off all residues of the solution. Divide them into quarters with a sharp knife, at the same time getting rid of wormholes and bones.
Step 3
Pour water and sugar into a wide enamel pan, stir. Dissolve when heating the liquid mixture.
Step 4
Pour the prepared plum into the dish. Remove from heat immediately and cover. Leave to infuse for 11 hours.
Step 5
After the time has elapsed, place the pan on gas again. Bring its contents to a boil and boil for another 2-3 minutes. At the same time, it is necessary to stir the jam, but carefully and infrequently, so as not to damage the integrity of the slices.
Step 6
After removing from heat, leave the pan with jam again for 10 hours on the sidelines. Once the time is up, cut the orange zest into thin strips and pour into the plum mixture. Add anise immediately (you can do without it).
Step 7
Boil the jam for 12 minutes, while removing the resulting foam. Transfer to sterilized jars, close with plastic lids, cool and place in the cold.
