- 500 g pumpkin;

- 150 ml of milk;

- 10 g vanilla sugar;

- 5 tbsp. l. rice;

- 30 g butter.

Cut the pumpkin prepared in advance into small pieces. Put the washed rice in a saucepan to the pumpkin. Then pour water over the pumpkin and rice, cover and cook over low heat until the pumpkin is tender. Rice will be cooked in parallel with the pumpkin.

Next, you need to lightly heat the rice and pumpkin until mashed. Then add milk to the puree, add salt, sugar and vanilla sugar and cook until tender. After adding milk, the porridge will turn out to be liquid, so you need to cook it for another 20 minutes, stirring constantly. You can judge the state of readiness by the fact that the porridge has acquired a creamy homogeneous consistency. Put some butter in the porridge for flavor. Pumpkin porridge with rice is ready!

Pumpkin baked with rice

Indulge your family members with a sweet dish like pumpkin baked with rice. Cooking this dish requires the following components:

- 300 g pumpkin;

- 100 g of rice;

- egg - 2 pcs.;

- 100 ml sour cream;

- 20 g of walnuts;

- 1 tbsp. l. honey;

- cinnamon (to taste);

- fresh berries, jam, preserves.

Cut the prepared pumpkin into small slices. Rinse the rice and boil until half cooked. Grind the walnuts.

Grease an oven dish with butter and put rice in it, and on top - pumpkin slices, sprinkle with chopped walnuts on top of the dish.

In the meantime, whisk the sour cream, honey and cinnamon using a blender or mixer, then pour this mixture over the pumpkin and rice and place the dish in the oven for baking until tender.
