-
- pumpkin - 1 pc.;
- semolina - 0.5 tbsp.;

- mixed mince (beef and pork) - 400 g;
- onions - 1 pc.;
- sugar - 2 tbsp. l.;
- salt (to taste);
- vegetable oil;
- breadcrumbs.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut a medium sized pumpkin into quarters. Peel it. Use a spoon to remove the seed core. Grate the pumpkin pieces on a coarse grater. If the pumpkin is too juicy, squeeze the juice lightly.
Step 2
Pour some vegetable oil into a frying pan or saucepan and heat. Put pumpkin porridge in a container with heated oil, salt and simmer until cooked over medium heat.
Step 3
Add sugar to the stewed pumpkin, stir, pour in a glass of milk and slowly pour in half a glass of semolina in a thin stream, stirring constantly to avoid any lumps.
Step 4
Simmer for a few minutes until the cereal is cooked. Stir the mass constantly. At the same time, the porridge with pumpkin should turn out to be quite thick and viscous.
Step 5
Remove the pumpkin pan from the heat and set aside until it cools completely. Prepare the minced meat at this time.
Step 6
Grind equal amounts of beef and pork, or use a convenience food. To make the dish a dietary one, instead of a mixed one, take minced chicken or turkey.
Step 7
Peel the onion and cut into small pieces. In a skillet with hot vegetable oil, simmer the onion until it becomes translucent. Then lay out the minced meat and fry it until tender.
Step 8
Beat 2 eggs. Add them to the cooled pumpkin and semolina porridge and knead well.
Step 9
Take the pumpkin mass with a spoon, make a small cake. Place the fried minced meat in the center, lift the edges of the pumpkin tortilla and form a cutlet (it can be as round or oblong as you like).
Step 10
Dip the cutlets in breadcrumbs and fry in preheated vegetable oil in a skillet.
Step 11
Serve the pumpkin patties hot with sour cream and a generous sprinkle of herbs.
