Ginger tea is an excellent remedy for many ailments. It helps with nausea, colic and flatulence, warms up in cold weather and increases sweating, lowers blood sugar, is effective for painful periods, and is a good expectorant. You can brew either fresh ginger root or dry ginger root powder.

Instructions
Step 1
Fresh ginger root can be purchased at the grocery store, in the vegetable section. Make sure the root is smooth and firm. Soft and wrinkled spine - spoiled.

Cut off a piece of root the size of your thumb phalanx or slightly larger. Peel it.
Step 3
You can grate a piece of root or chop it into small pieces with a knife. You should make at least two teaspoons of ginger paste.

There are several ways to make ginger tea.
The easiest one, if you have a special tea infuser and a cup with a lid, put the ginger in the strainer, put it in a cup, pour boiling water over it, cover and leave for 10 minutes.
If you have a small teapot, rinse it with boiling water, add ginger gruel to it, and fill it with hot water. Cover and leave for 15 minutes.
Boil water in a small saucepan. Once the water has boiled, add the ginger. Simmer the root for 15 minutes, then add heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off heat and strain the broth.
Step 5
Ginger root powder is brewed either in a teapot or in a strainer for no more than 5 minutes.
