Plain crumpets are prepared quickly and easily. They taste like donuts. They can also be prepared with or without sweet filling.

Beat eggs with sugar, salt and sour cream in a deep bowl.

Add soda slaked with vinegar and stir.

Mix with flour, preferably sifted in advance. And knead the dough, but so that it is tender and not steep. It should not stick to your hands.

We make small balls from the dough, or you can simply roll out and cut out circles. They should be no more than 1 cm thick.
Step 6
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, pour it so that the circles float in the oil. And fry over medium heat.
Step 7
Put it carefully in the oil so as not to burn yourself, and fry until brownish.
Step 8
After frying, sprinkle with icing sugar for taste and beauty. Or we serve jam or your favorite condensed milk on the table.
Step 9
Filled crumpets
We prepare the dough in the same way. In order to make the filling, we form rounds from the dough and put the filling in the middle. No more than half a teaspoon, and so that the filling is thick enough. We pinch the dough so that the filling is in the middle, and fry the crumpet. For the filling, you can use thick jam, jam or boiled condensed milk.
