This dessert tastes best with homemade vanilla sauce, it gives the dessert a special tenderness. Start with the sauce. Pour the cream into a small saucepan and add the sliced vanilla pod. Place the saucepan on the stove and bring to a boil, but do not boil. Remove the cream from the heat and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Take out the vanilla bean.
