The most popular medium alcohol drink in Spain is sangria. The peak of popularity of the drink, recognition all over the world, happened in the 60-70s of the last century.
It is necessary
- - dry red wine - 1 l;
- - granulated sugar - 5 tablespoons;
- - orange - 3 pcs.;
- - lemon - 1 pc.;
- - cinnamon - 1 stick;
- - cognac or brandy - 50 ml;
- - highly carbonated water - 200 ml.
Instructions
Step 1
Before you start making a truly enjoyable, refreshing drink, thoroughly rinse the fruit required for the recipe. Then cut two oranges and one lemon into thin half rings along with the skin. Squeeze the juice out of the remaining orange.
Step 2
Mix cooked fruit cuts, juice, cinnamon stick, and granulated sugar in a convenient large container. A jug can serve as such a container.
Step 3
Crush the fruit with a crush or other convenient device, this action will give the future drink a special, unique aroma. Pour the mixture with dry red wine and cognac.
Step 4
Cover the sangria jug with a lid or cling film and leave in a cool place for 2-3 hours. If possible, keep the drink in the refrigerator overnight, during which time the product will infuse better.
Step 5
Before serving the sangria, remove the cinnamon stick from the jug and add the soda water, stir. Use a neutral-tasting soda.
Step 6
Pour into glasses, put ice cubes in each, enjoy. Depending on the season, you can add various berries and fruits to sangria (apples, pears, strawberries, cherries, etc.).
