Why buy a sauce from the store when you can make it yourself? I bring to your attention the cranberry-pineapple sauce for meat. It will give the dish a special taste and aroma.
It is necessary
- - orange - 1 pc.;
- - cranberries - 350 g;
- - half of one pineapple;
- - honey - 2 tablespoons;
- - brown sugar - 1 tablespoon;
- - coarse salt - 0.5 teaspoon;
- - freshly ground pepper - to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
After thoroughly rinsing the orange, grate 2 teaspoons of zest with a fine grater. Divide the orange pulp into small pieces, and add the juice released during this procedure to the grated zest of the fruit.
Step 2
If you are using frozen cranberries to make the sauce, defrost them beforehand. Next, divide the berry into 2 equal parts. Place one in a food processor and chop until smooth. Then put the rest of the cranberries in the same place and punch the resulting mass well again. Thus, you have a cranberry puree.
Step 3
Combine the resulting homogeneous cranberry mass in one bowl with the following ingredients: chopped orange into small pieces, grated orange zest mixed with juice, as well as pineapple chopped into small pieces, granulated sugar, salt, freshly ground pepper and honey. It is best to use liquid honey for meat sauce. Mix everything properly.
Step 4
Put the resulting mass in the refrigerator for the whole night, covering with a lid on top. Cranberry-pineapple sauce for meat is ready! It can only be stored for 3 days, but its taste is simply amazing!
