  • One kilogram of green apples;
  • Two teaspoons of sugar;
  • 25 grams of butter;
  • One teaspoon of ground cinnamon;
  • Two tablespoons of starch;
  • A teaspoon of lemon juice;
  • Half a teaspoon of nutmeg.

Step 1

First you need to take 2 cups of sifted flour and add half a teaspoon of salt and one tablespoon of sugar. Then add cold, sliced butter (150 g) and a little water, literally 6 tablespoons. Knead the resulting mixture well. Dividing the dough into two pieces so that one is larger than the other, leave it in the refrigerator for half an hour.

Step 2

Next, take one kilogram of apples. Peel off the peel and remove the cores. Cut the apples themselves into small pieces. In a separate bowl, combine the nutmeg, cinnamon, lemon juice and apples. Add 1-2 tbsp. sugar and a tablespoon of starch. You can put the filling aside for now.

Step 3

It's time to remember about the dough. You need to wait until the dough thaws a little, and then roll it out. Lubricate the cake pan with butter and place part of the dough. Then we spread the filling, adding butter to it. Cover the filling with the remaining dough. You need to make a hole in the middle so that steam can pass through, and at the edges tightly adhere the upper layer to the lower one.

Step 4

Preheat the oven to 200C and put the pie there, having previously greased it with water and sprinkled with sugar. After 10 minutes, you need to reduce the temperature to 180C. The apple pie will be baked for 40-50 minutes. When a golden crust forms, you can take the apple pie out of the oven.
