It is necessary

    • potatoes - 1 kg;
    • flour - 2 tablespoons;
    • butter - 2 tablespoons;
    • egg - 1 pc;
    • fresh herbs - 1 bunch;
    • bread crumbs - 150 g;
    • minced meat - 400 g;
    • vegetable oil -0.5 l;
    • onion - 1 pc;
    • salt
    • ground black pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the potatoes, peel, cut into pieces, cover with cold water and cook over medium heat for 20-25 minutes from boiling until tender. As soon as the water boils, add salt to the potatoes. When the potatoes are ready, drain the water and mash them well with a fork, pusher or beat with a mixer. Add butter, raw egg, sifted flour, stir and add finely chopped fresh herbs.

Step 2

If the minced meat is frozen, defrost it at room temperature. Peel the onion, chop finely and fry it in vegetable oil until slightly golden brown. Put the minced meat on the onion and fry everything together for another 15-20 minutes until the minced meat is cooked. Season the meat with salt and pepper.

Step 3

On a chopping board sprinkled with flour, place the potatoes with a wet spoon and with your hand moistened with water, make a cake about 1 cm thick from it. Put the prepared minced meat in the middle. Lift the edges of the potato cake with a knife, pinch them with your hands and form a ball.

Step 4

Roll the balls in breadcrumbs and fry on both sides in heated vegetable oil until golden brown. Put the finished balls on a paper towel or napkin so that the excess oil is absorbed. Potato balls stuffed with minced meat can be served as a stand-alone dish with sour cream or with fresh vegetable salad.
