  • • 5 kg of sweet (Bulgarian) pepper (already peeled from partitions).
  • • 7-8 glasses of water
  • • 1 glass of 6% table vinegar
  • • 1 cup of sugar
  • • 1 glass of vegetable oil
  • • 2-4 tablespoons of honey
  • • 2 tablespoons of salt
  • Dishes:
  • • Pot for brine
  • • Pan for blanching
  • • Sterilized jars with lids
  • • Skimmer

Instructions

Step 1

Sweet peppers must first be cleaned of seeds, partitions and tails. Then the peppers are cut into 4-6 pieces. Use peppers of different colors for a very nice combination on your plate!

Step 2

Prepare 2 pots for blanching and for brine. Pour water into the first pan and when it boils, start blanching the peppers. This will take approximately 5-7 minutes. It is possible to determine whether the pepper is ready if it is slightly bent. In the event that it bends, but does not break, then the pepper is ready. The blanched peppers are sprinkled out of the water.

Step 3

Make a brine with water, vinegar, honey, sugar, and vegetable oil. Dip the blanched peppers in the brine and boil for another 5-6 minutes. Time is counted from the moment of boiling.

Step 4

The finished pepper is laid out in jars and poured with brine. Next, you need to tightly cork the jars and wrap them up. The workpiece should gradually cool upside down.
