Caesar salad is a culinary hit of our time. It is served in almost all cafes and restaurants, it is easy and quick to prepare at home, and has a pleasant interesting taste. The main ingredient of "Caesar" is chicken, so special attention should be paid to its preparation for the salad to be a success.
Instructions
For Caesar, it is best to use chicken breast as this is the leanest part of the chicken. The most important thing when cooking is not to dry it out.
So, take the chicken breast and rinse it under cold water.
Cut the breast into portions so that after cooking, they can be immediately put into a salad.
Place the slices in a deep bowl, sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and a little lemon juice (this will soften the breast and improve its taste). Leave it on for half an hour.
In the meantime, preheat the oven. Now you can choose the option that is convenient for you:
- bake the breast with butter;
- bake the breast in foil.
When baked with butter, the chicken will have a tasty crust, but the meat will dry out easily. When baking in foil, it will take you a little longer, there will be no crust, but the meat will not be overdried.
Once you've put the breast into the preheated oven, keep track of the time. Since the pieces are small, they will cook very quickly - in about 20 minutes.
Bake the breast over medium heat for the first 15 minutes so it doesn't dry out. Before turning off, turn the temperature up to the maximum: this will make the meat very appetizing on the outside and remain juicy on the inside.
