  • - milk - 1.5 l;
  • - cottage cheese - 1 kg;
  • - butter - 100 g;
  • - egg - 1 pc.;
  • - salt - 1-1, 5 teaspoons;
  • - soda - 1 teaspoon.

Instructions

Step 1

After transferring the curd to a sufficiently deep saucepan, fill it with milk. Please note that for making homemade cheese, the cottage cheese is best used, that is, rather fatty. Put this mixture on the stove and cook over medium heat, stirring from time to time, until the curd begins to pick up on a spoon in the form of lumps.

Step 2

Transfer the curd to a sieve and squeeze out thoroughly, pressing with your hands so that excess liquid drains from it. Then add the following ingredients to it: a raw chicken egg, as well as salt, butter and baking soda. After mixing the properly formed mixture, place it on the stove and cook, stirring continuously, for 5-10 minutes, that is, until the mass resembles melted cheese in its consistency.

Step 3

Transfer the resulting rather thick mass into a prepared form. It is best to use silicone. If you have a different shape, then cover it with cling film or parchment before placing the cheese in it. Without doing this, it will be quite problematic to remove the finished product from the dishes.

Step 4

Move the curd mold to the side until it is completely set. As soon as this happens, you can remove the food from the dishes and serve it to the table. Homemade cheese is ready!
