Pilaf is one of the most famous dishes, the main ingredients of which are rice and meat. However, many national cuisines prepare other treats from these products, for example, in Italy - risotto with veal, and in Greece - moussaka with beef and pumpkin.

To make meat and pumpkin moussaka, take:

- 0.5 kg of beef;

- 3 tablespoons of rice;

- 0.5 kg of pumpkin pulp;

- 2 large tomatoes;

- 1 head of onion;

- 1 tablespoon of butter;

- olive oil;

- ground black pepper and salt.

Cut the beef into small cubes. Heat the butter in a saucepan and fry the meat in it. Then fill it with water so that it covers it. Cover the dish with a lid and simmer the beef for 15-20 minutes.

Boil the rice in a separate bowl until half cooked. To do this, boil water, add cereal to it and cook for about 5 minutes. Prepare the pumpkin. Peel the fruit and remove the seeds. Cut the pulp into thin slices. Peel and chop the onion as well. Sauté the vegetables individually in olive oil.

Combine meat, sautéed onions and rice. Grease the sides of the pan with oil, put half of the pumpkin, then a layer of meat and rice, and again the pumpkin. Cut the tomatoes into rings and place them on top of a dish. Pour the broth from the stewpan in which the beef was stewed into the pan with food. Season everything with salt and pepper and bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes.

Serve hot mousaka, sprinkle with chopped parsley.

In India, rice is cooked with chicken and curry. This is a very tasty and spicy dish, for the preparation of which you will need:

- 300 g of chicken breast;

- 100 g of rice;

- 2 tablespoons of curry sauce;

1 teaspoon curry powder

- 2 tablespoons of ghee;

- salt.

Cut the breast into small cubes. Put them in a bowl and combine the meat with the powder and curry sauce. Leave the chicken to marinate for 1 hour in a cool place.

Melt the ghee in a skillet and lightly fry the chicken pieces in it. Then lay out the rice and saute until it is completely soaked in oil and translucent. Add hot water to coat the meat and rice. Cover and bring to a boil. Then remove it and cook for another 10-15 minutes.

There is rice with chicken and curry you need hot with unleavened tortillas.

Risotto with veal and green peas is a tasty and satisfying dish, for the preparation of which you will need:

- 1 glass of rice;

- 0.5 kg of veal;

- 0, 5 cans of canned green peas;

- 2 eggs;

- ¼ glass of heavy cream;

- 2 glasses of meat broth;

- 100 g of parmesan cheese;

- ground black pepper and salt;

- dried Italian herbs.

Rinse the rice under running cold water, fold in a colander. This is necessary in order for the glass to have excess water. Spread the cereals on a clean towel and let the rice dry.

Peel the onion and cut into small pieces. Heat vegetable oil and fry the onion in it until transparent. Then add the dried rice to it and fry until the rice is also translucent. Pour the meat broth into the pan, bring the mass to a boil, then reduce the heat. Place the lid on the pan and cook the rice until tender, about 15 minutes.

Cut the meat into small pieces and fry in vegetable oil. Then mix it with rice, add green peas. Season with salt and pepper and place in a greased baking dish.

Beat eggs lightly. Add cream, dried Italian herbs and mix thoroughly. Pour the egg-creamy mass over the dish, sprinkle with grated Parmesan and place in the hot oven for 15 minutes. Serve the risotto hot.
