Pirozhki is one of the oldest dishes in Russian cuisine, which has been treated to dear guests since time immemorial. Today they are also popular, because such a treat will come in handy in any situation, be it a family breakfast, a simple snack or a trip to nature.
It is necessary
- - 1 kg of sifted flour;
- - 10 g dry yeast;
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar;
- - 2 eggs;
- - 0.5 liters of milk;
- - 150 g margarine;
- - ½ teaspoon of salt;
- - 6 medium sized apples.
- - vegetable oil.
Instructions
Step 1
Heat the milk to 30 ° C. Dissolve yeast in 100 ml of milk. Add sugar, salt and stir. Combine the remaining milk with the beaten egg, add the diluted yeast to it and stir everything well.
Step 2
Put the flour in a heap on the table, make a deep hole in the middle and pour the prepared yeast mixture into it. Knead a soft dough. Finally add melted margarine and knead the dough again. As soon as it stops sticking to your hands, transfer it to a saucepan, cover with a towel or cling film and place in a warm place for 45 minutes.
Step 3
Peel and core the apples. Cut into small pieces and mix with 2 tbsp. tablespoons of granulated sugar.
Step 4
Place the dough on a clean, floured table. Divide the dough into equal sized pieces and form into balls. Cover with a napkin and let sit for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Roll each ball into a 1 cm thick round flatbread, place the apples grated with sugar in the middle and pinch the edges, giving the pies an oval shape.
Step 6
Put the pies on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil. Leave it in a warm place for 10 minutes. Gently grease them with a beaten egg and place in an oven preheated to 180 ° C. Bake for 20 minutes. Put the finished pies on a board covered with a clean towel, sprinkle with water and cover with a cloth.
