When a festive feast is planned or you just have a desire to cook something tasty, you can bake stuffed duck in the oven. Thanks to the oranges and apples used as the filling, this dish has an original sweetish taste and amazing aroma.

It is necessary

  • - duck;
  • - oranges - 2 pcs;
  • - apples - 2 pcs;
  • - mayonnaise - 3-4 tbsp. spoons;
  • - salt and black pepper to taste;
  • - needle with thread.

Instructions

Step 1

Remove all duck guts if necessary. Wash it thoroughly under running water and let it dry for a while. Then salt and pepper the poultry well, not only outside, but also inside.

Step 2

Prepare the filling. Peel the oranges and divide into wedges. From apples, cut a core with seeds and also cut them into large slices. Stuff the duck with these fruits, alternating between them.

Step 3

Sew up all the holes on the bird, including in the neck area, with special culinary or simple threads. This will keep the juice inside and make the meat more juicy. Spread mayonnaise on the duck and put it in the refrigerator to marinate for 1-2 hours.

Step 4

Heat the oven to 200 degrees, transfer the duck to a refractory dish with small sides and bake until the crust is golden brown and the meat is light. You can also check readiness with a small incision in an inconspicuous place. The cooking time will take approximately 60-90 minutes.

Step 5

Remove the finished duck from the oven and let it cool down for a while. Then remove all threads and carefully remove the filling. Cut the poultry into portions and fold them into one dish, and place the fruit removed from the duck on the side. The latter, by the way, are suitable as a side dish.
