Sprat in tomato sauce - legendary canned food of the Soviet era, which was used both as an independent dish and added to the soup. However, you can make your own sprat in tomato sauce at home. So you will be completely confident in the quality of the workpiece.

- –560 g frozen capelin or sprat (herring);
- –270 ml fresh or canned tomato juice;

- –2 carrots;
- –2.5 tbsp. flour;
- -dill;
- -sunflower oil;

- -1, 5 tbsp. Sahara.
Instructions
Step 1
First, you should first defrost the fish, leaving it in a warm place for 2-4 hours. Process each fish by removing the head and entrails.
Step 2
Place a heavy-bottomed pan on the burner, add oil and fry the chopped onion, stirring with a wooden spatula. Rinse the carrots well, remove the unnecessary layer and grate. Next, you need to put the vegetable on the onion and continue cooking.
Step 3
Pour excess liquid out of a bowl of fish and gently rinse each carcass under running water. Add sprat to the mixture of onions and carrots, add salt, pepper, lavrushka and sugar there. Try the broth. Ideally, the taste should be sweet and sour.
Step 4
Finally, pour the tomato juice into the skillet, pre-seasoned with flour, which has excellent binding properties and will make the sauce thicker. Sprinkle the finished dish with chopped dill.
