Banana bread is a baked product that can be made with any type of flour. You can add not only bananas to the dough, but also any dried fruits, having previously held them in hot water for 15 minutes and chopped them.

You will need:

- five bananas;

- three eggs;

- 30 ml of rum;

- 300 grams of flour;

- 200 grams of butter;

- 100 grams of sugar;

- 50 grams of walnuts;

- a pinch of vanilla and cinnamon;

- a pinch of salt;

- a teaspoon of baking powder.

Peel the bananas, mash them in a bowl with a fork until they are mushy, add eggs, butter to them and stir everything until smooth. After that, put cinnamon, vanillin and rum into the mixture, whisk everything.

Sift the flour and gradually add it to the banana mass and stir (it is imperative to sift the flour, you can even sift it twice, in this case the bread will turn out to be softer and more tender). Add salt, baking powder, half of the nuts and sugar to the dough, mix everything gently with a spoon. As a result, you should get a sticky dough of medium density.

Grease a clean form (preferably a narrow rectangular one) or cover with oiled baking paper, put the dough in it, sprinkle the dough on top with the remaining nuts and place in an oven preheated to 160 degrees for 50 minutes (if the form is wide, then the cooking time can be reduced by 10-15 minutes).

Put the finished banana bread on a tray, cover with a clean towel and let cool slightly. Cut into portions and serve. This pastry goes well with absolutely any drinks: tea, coffee, compotes, and any milk drinks.

It is worth noting that banana bread turns out to be quite dark, but if you want to make baked goods of a beautiful pale yellow color, then when kneading bananas, add three to five tablespoons of lemon juice to them.
