If you want to get leaner by the summer, but don't want to give up your favorite food, modify it. So, delicious pizza can also be made healthy, low-calorie, if you replace the yeast dough with cauliflower.
The uniqueness of this dish is also that the pastries do not smell like cabbage. Therefore, few people will guess what is taken as the basis of a delicious snack dish. Start by preparing the essentials.
Ingredients for the dough:
- 1 small forks of cauliflower;
- 200 g of coarsely grated Mozzarella cheese (150 g in the dough, 50 g - for decoration);
- 1 egg;
- 1 tsp. oregano;
- 1 tsp. onion powder;
- salt.
Preparation of the base
Rinse the cabbage head, cut off the inflorescences from it. Pass them through a meat grinder or chop them with a food processor. It is important that the cauliflower does not turn into mashed potatoes, but resemble crumb.
Drain the juice. To do this, cover the bowl of cabbage with a flat plate of slightly smaller diameter, press it down with your hand and drain the liquid. Transfer the shredded vegetable to a suitable dish and microwave for 5 minutes. After 2, 5 minutes, remove, mix gently, put back. If there is no microwave oven, pre-boil the inflorescences for 6 minutes in boiling water, and then chop.
Set the cabbage to cool. When it cools, add salt, dry seasonings. If you do not have the ones stated in the recipe, add others, your favorites. Beat in an egg, add cheese, mix until smooth.
Grease a baking sheet or baking dish with vegetable oil, and line the cabbage dough in a 1 cm layer. You can use baking paper. Place in an oven heated to 220 ° C. While the dough is baked for about 15 minutes until lightly browning, prepare the filling.
Top of pizza
If you decide to fight for harmony, use boiled chicken or mushrooms as a filling. You can do both. Cut the washed mushrooms into thin plates, chop the chicken in the same way.
Take out the pizza base, brush it with tomato paste or ketchup, spread the chicken breast, place mushrooms on it or next to it, sprinkle with a little grated cheese, put it in the oven for another 10 minutes.
If you don't have mushrooms, replace them with bell peppers or tomatoes. Cherries cut in half look beautiful.
