Indian sweets surprise not only with the simplicity of preparation, but also with a delicate pleasant taste. I suggest you make a treat called Jalebi. I think many people will like it, especially children.
It is necessary
- - flour - 2 glasses;
- - yogurt - 2 teaspoons;
- - water - 4 glasses;
- - semolina - 1.5 teaspoons;
- - baking powder for dough - 1/4 teaspoon;
- - sugar - 4 glasses;
- - lemon juice - 1 tablespoon;
- - vegetable oil.
Instructions
Step 1
Place the following ingredients in a deep bowl: wheat flour, semolina and baking powder, yogurt and 1.25 cups of water. Mix everything well. Thus, you will get the dough for the future dessert. By the way, if you don't have semolina available, you can replace it with pre-ground rice.
Step 2
Cover the well-mixed dough with, for example, a towel. Leave it like this for about 2 hours and always in a warm place.
Step 3
In the meantime, mix the granulated sugar with the rest of the water in one bowl. Squeeze the juice out of the lemon and put it in the sugar solution. Bring the mixture to a boil, then cook it for another 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
Step 4
Put the dough into a pastry syringe for the future Indian delicacy. If you don't have one, use a plastic bag instead, making a small hole in the corner. Squeeze the dough as quickly as possible into a skillet with plenty of sunflower oil in a spiral shape. Fry the future dessert on each side until golden brown, that is, no more than 30 seconds.
Step 5
Place the fried treat on a paper towel to drain off excess oil. Then dip the dessert in the sugar syrup for 15 seconds. Let the dish cool. Jalebi is ready!
