Fast food salads have become part of the life of active modern people, because this is a compromise way to have a quick snack and stay in good shape. And if you like their taste so much that you cannot part with it at home, prepare these snacks yourself, for example, the famous American Cole Slow with different sauces.
Original American Cole Slow Sauce
Ingredients:
- 125 g mayonnaise;
- 50 ml of lemon juice;
- 2 tbsp. Sahara;
- 1 tbsp. white wine or rice vinegar;
- 1/2 tablespoon table grated horseradish;
- a pinch of granulated onions, dry mustard, celery and finely ground salt, ground white pepper.
Combine mayonnaise, vinegar, lemon juice and grated horseradish in a deep bowl and whisk thoroughly. Add sugar, salt and other spices there and stir the sauce well until smooth. Let it sit for a while while you prepare the vegetables and top up the salad.
Another classic recipe for cole slow sauce
Ingredients:
- 100 g of natural yogurt and 20% sour cream;
- 20 ml of wine vinegar;
- 20 g of mustard;
- 2 tsp Sahara;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- 1 tsp each cumin and sesame seeds;
- half a hot red pepper;
- 3/4 tsp salt.
Peel the garlic cloves and grate on a fine grater or chop in a special press. Peel and finely chop the red pepper. Combine both vegetables in one container, add yogurt, sour cream, mustard, vinegar, add cumin and sesame seeds. Stir everything, season the sauce with sugar and salt and pour over the cole slow.
Cole Sauce Honey Nut Sauce
Ingredients:
- 60 ml of vegetable oil and rice vinegar;
- 40 g of honey;
- 20 ml each of soy sauce and sesame oil;
- 20 g of peanut butter;
- 1/2 tablespoon each Thai hot sauce and salt;
- 2 cm of ginger root;
- 1 clove of garlic.
Peel the ginger root and grate with the garlic clove. Heat the honey slightly, stir it with rice vinegar, three types of oil, soy and Thai hot sauce, and salt.
Vegetarian Cole Slow Sauce
Ingredients:
- 60 ml of apple cider vinegar;
- 20 ml each of water, olive oil and Dijon mustard;
- 1, 5 tbsp. Sahara;
- 1/4 tbsp. dried basil and ground black pepper;
- a pinch of granulated garlic.
Whisk in the vinegar, oil, water and mustard, add the dry sauce ingredients and mix well.
Oriental Cole Sauce
Ingredients:
- 75 ml of rapeseed oil;
- 60 ml lime juice;
- 40 ml each soy sauce and olive oil;
- 30 ml of fish sauce;
- 2 tbsp. wasabi powder and ground ginger;
- 1, 5 tbsp. Sahara;
- 1/2 tablespoon chili powder.
Pour all of the liquid sauce ingredients into one bowl and shake with a fork. Add the indicated dry seasonings and sugar there and stir actively with a whisk.
