Meatballs with noodles are very easy to prepare, very light, but at the same time filling and original dish!
It is necessary
- - 250 g minced chicken or turkey
- - 1 finely chopped red chili
- - 1/2 tsp. finely grated ginger root
- - 1 tsp. thai fish sauce
- - a pinch of sugar
- - 4 finely chopped young onions
- - 1 tsp. starch
- - 4 tbsp. l. chopped cilantro
- - 1 liter of chicken broth
- - 50 g shiitake mushrooms, cut in half
- - 1 thinly chopped celery stalk
- - 75g sweet pea pods, halved
- - 150 g fresh wok noodles (can be substituted for regular noodles; prepare according to package directions)
- - 1 head of pak choy cabbage, cut into 4 parts
- - juice of 1 lime
- - cilantro leaves (tear large) when serving
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the meatballs: Toss the minced meat with chili, ginger, 1 teaspoon fish sauce, sugar, 2 onions, starch and half cilantro. Roll 14 balls from the resulting mixture.
Step 2
Transfer the stock to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the meatballs and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender. Remove the meatballs with a slotted spoon and place in 2 hot bowls. Keep warm.
Step 3
Add the remaining fish sauce and onions, mushrooms, celery, peas and noodles to the broth. Bring to a boil, stir and stir in the cabbage. Cook for 2 minutes. Pour in lime juice.
Step 4
Pour the noodle and veggie broth over the meatballs, sprinkle with cilantro leaves and serve.
