In order to get acquainted with the cuisine of the East, it is not at all necessary to go to the United Arab Emirates. It is enough to make the famous oriental sweetness at home - bassbusa. Do not be alarmed! Difficulties will not arise. After all, basbusa in its composition resembles an ordinary semolina pie, however, in structure it is very delicate, with a rich, rich aroma.

- To prepare the dough:
- - 200 g semolina;
- - 200 g flour;
- - 200 g of kefir;
- - 200 g of sugar;
- - 100 ml of sunflower oil;
- - 200 g of coconut;
- - 1 egg;
- - vanillin on the tip of a knife;
- - 2 tsp baking powder.
- To prepare the syrup:
- - 100 g of sugar;
- - 100 ml of water;
- - half a lemon (juice is squeezed out of it)

First, pour the semolina with kefir, pour the beaten egg into the resulting mass and leave for 30 minutes.

Now you need to add all the remaining ingredients: flour, coconut, sugar and baking powder. Mix everything well, then add sunflower oil and stir again. The dough should be very thick.
Step 3
Put the finished dough into a mold (any). Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180 C.
Step 4
While the dough is baking, prepare the syrup. To do this, you need to mix water with sugar, add the juice of half a lemon there and cook for 10 minutes over low heat.
Step 5
In the baked dough, make small holes (with a fork or a toothpick), spill well with syrup and leave to soak (you can in a warm oven).
Step 6
Cut the finished dessert into squares, put on a dish and serve.
