There is a popular belief that fasting is boring, uninteresting and irrelevant. But is it really so? After all, proper nutrition is the key to health! That is why we bring to your attention a recipe for lean rolls stuffed with fried mushrooms and onions. They can easily diversify any dinner without breaking the fast. Such a recipe should be on the note of every housewife.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 170 ml. plain water;
  • 2 tbsp. l. sunflower oil;
  • 2 tbsp. flour (500 gr);

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 1 large onion (200 g);
  • 400 g frozen mushrooms;
  • 1 tsp favorite seasoning;
  • 1 tbsp. l. sunflower oil;
  • ½ tsp salt.

Preparation:

  1. Sift the flour onto the table, forming a slide. In the middle of the slide, make a medium-sized depression with your hands.
  2. Pour lukewarm water and oil into the well. Knead not steep, but not blurry dough with your hands.
  3. Roll the finished dough into a ball, put in any dry bowl and set aside for 20-30 minutes. During this time, the dough will rest a little, and the filling will cook.
  4. Pour some oil into a frying pan and heat it up.
  5. Peel one large onion, cut into half rings, put in oil and fry until golden brown.
  6. At the end of frying, add the frozen mushrooms to the golden onions and simmer them until all the liquid has evaporated.
  7. Remove the dough from the bowl, knead again and divide into 8 identical pieces. Roll one piece of dough with a rolling pin into a round cake.
  8. Divide the mushroom filling into 8 equal portions. (Based on 1 serving of filling for 1 cake.)
  9. Put one portion of the mushroom filling on the rolled flat cake and flatten it with a spoon. Form a roll with your hands, pinching on both sides of its edges. Repeat this procedure until 8 rolls are formed.
  10. Grease the bowl of the double boiler with plenty of oil. Put all the rolls on butter and steam for at least 25 minutes.
  11. Cut the ready-made mushroom rolls in half, arrange on plates and serve with your favorite sauce or sour cream, if this does not contradict your beliefs.
