To grow kombucha, you need to take the mold from the teapot and put it in a 3-liter jar with strong room temperature tea leaves. It will take time for the mold to grow on the surface of the liquid. Then you need to change the tea leaves and turn the mold over. When the mold covers the second side, it is turned over again. This procedure must be repeated until the mushroom reaches the desired thickness and density. In terms of time, this process usually takes at least a month.
Step 2
When the mushroom reaches a sufficient size, it must be removed from the infuser and placed in a solution of apple cider vinegar for 5-10 minutes. After that, you need to prepare a new container: fill a 3-liter jar with boiling water and let it stand for a while. Pour out the water.
Step 3
Boil 1.5 liters of water, add 5 g of black or green tea, brew for 15 minutes, add 70-80 g of sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Cool the resulting solution to room temperature and pour into a jar with mushroom. And tie on top with gauze folded in 3-4 layers.
Step 4
The first 2-3 days the mushroom will remain at the bottom of the jar, but after a few days it will surely float up. After 3-4 days, the drink will be ready.
